[For all that Slaine's words are biting, he remains outwardly calm. There's no point in getting worked up - it won't help the situation. He doubts he'll ever see eye-to-eye with Inaho, but that's of no consequence.

The fact remains that what he's doing is more for himself than for others, even if he doesn't see it that way. Ironically, it doesn't occur to him that on an emotional level, he tends to do something not dissimilar]


It's not atonement if you deny them closure and presuppose what they want.

[And that's something he can't know if he just ducks them at every turn. It could have happened to any of them - could still happen to any of them]

As to what I'd do... I couldn't know their thoughts I didn't face them, could I? And I doubt my roommates would allow me to hide to begin with.
