However, Slaine seemed to have gotten attached, but then from the way people talked about Slaine and to Slaine he was doing well here. Inaho wasn't exactly doing as well as that, but he was less emotionally invested in the people around him.

You're invested in them and close to them, you would have a different reaction if you did the same.

He's more given to relate to others through similar experiences or ideas, and that's the same thing he's done back home when he showed Lemrina her scars - or in trusting Harklight as much as he has. There's still a barrier there, all the same, but he'd be ineffective if he doesn't know how to connect with others.

But I'm not the subject at hand, and theoretical scenarios aren't pertinent here.

[For his part, Slaine doesn't have any particular expectations with regards to what Inaho will do... But he felt it was necessary to address. He does have some responsibility for the people he'd occupied a room with, and that doesn't change because he's done something he regrets. Whether they'll accept him or not isn't something he can say until he speaks to them.

I'd rather think I draw strength from the knowledge that I act for more than just myself.
[That's something he's rather sure of. Slaine has always been more about other people than himself, and it's what drives him and gotten him as far as he's come so far. He'll never consider that a weakness - instead, he thinks there's more of a drawback to the way Inaho seems to operate.
