[ she leaves baking club early that evening, hurrying along the halls with a little plate full of fresh cookies. she's got it covered with a small paper towel, but in her haste, she hadn't even stopped to take off her apron, cheek and hands still covered with flour from her work.
she's rushing down the halls, trying to make sense of it in her attempt to get to activity room b. but the halls keep changing on her, and she keeps getting lost. she finally spots a body at the end of the hallway and, frustrated enough as it is, she calls out to them. ]
Hey! Do you know how to get to Activity Room B from here?
[The smell of the cookies hits his nose before he registers Dal Dal at all. He turns to look at her quietly, listening before nodding. Inaho waits for her to catch up, she seems like she is full of energy, and if she was headed to Activity Room B then she probably knew Slaine.]
[It's as simple as that, it really isn't too big of a deal. Moving down the hall at his normal pace he had moved ahead of her. Stopping he waited for her to catch up, his eye on the walls around them.]
—ah. [ here dal dal thought he might have been seeking someone out in the room... ]
But, yeah, it does that. [ it's why she stopped him in the first place, after all. ] I've been trying to find my way for maybe half an hour now — it's pretty frustrating.
[ she falls into step beside him, though, idly lacing her hands behind her back. ]
[No judgment here Dal Dal. Inaho was not lost this time, but who knew if his luck would hold out. So as they walked he watched her and kept her on the side without the eye patch.]
[He doesn't seem to be surprised as she says this. He hadn't really taken an interest in the people staying with Slaine. The other seemed to be doing fine and had his own group that he worked with.]
[ then again, she supposes slaine is fairly popular. he certainly helps as many people as he can, after all, despite his insistence on "not being a good guy." ]
Yeah, we've started staying there since the teacher's lounge got.. weird. [ she shifts a little uncomfortably at the mention. ]
[He knows him better than anyone in the school. That's not something he is sure he wants to tell others though. After all, it wasn't like they were friends, and most people didn't understand why they were enemies.]
He texted me about the creature. He's the one that suggested I take refuge in Activity Room A.
[At the protect each other comment, Inaho really doesn't say anything to her, he simply nods and listens as they move.]
[At that moment, Inaho felt a shiver down his spine that he really couldn't explain. It was at the syrupy sweet nickname, probably. That and the implications. This girl was Slaine's girlfriend. At least that's the conclusion he had reached, tucking that tid bit of information for later. There were a lot of things that he wanted to consider with that bit of news.]
I don't know him very well.
[At least in the school setting. Slaine was exhibiting behaviors that made him sympathetic. He continued walking with Dal Dal quietly as they got closer and closer to the activity room.]
Did you make the cookies just for Slaine? Do you like to cook?
[ she glances towards the other then, curious, despite herself. she thinks it must be pretty sad, finally having someone from home to be here and sympathize with you... only to realize they aren't even someone you're that close to. ]
These are for anyone who wants them, [ she says, gently handling the plate in her hands. ] I made too many. I'd prefer to cook, but baking's all that's available at the moment.
[He agreed with her as they walked and she handled the plate of cookies. Finally they turned down the hall and there was his door and hers. Looking at Dal Dal he tips his head to the side.]
I'm sure that it will be a comfort to others to have something someone made.
That's the hope! [ she smiles brightly, idly tugging on the paper towel she used to cover the cookies. ] The food here isn't too bad, when there's variety, but I think it might be nicer to have something home-made...
Hopefully one day we'll be able to cook our own meals, too.
[Inaho would take the ease of having to prepare his own meals to the unknown people that could slip things into their food with no warning. Pausing in the hall he watches Dal Dal with his good eye, before he turns and starts towards Activity Room A.]
I'm glad we didn't get lost trying to get here. I hope the others enjoy your cookies.
[That was something to say in that situation though. She did work hard and it was admirable.]

Not a bad choice as far as defenses go.

Of course they will, [ she says, practically brimming with confidence. she worked hard, after all, and she knows her prowess in the kitchen. ]
Stop by if you're free later — maybe if you're lucky, there'll be some left for you~
no subject
I might just do that.
[With another small nod, he moves inside the room, shutting the door quietly behind him.]
